Announcing the WINNERS of the China Schools Awards 2026

Last Friday, over 120 education leaders and professionals gathered in Chongqing for the China Schools Awards 2026, celebrating excellence and innovation across the international K–12 education sector in China.
Under this year’s theme, “Beyond Academics: Aligning K–12 Education with the Evolving Employability Landscape,” the event brought together school leaders, educators, employers, and education organisations to explore how schools can better prepare students for a rapidly evolving world of work shaped by technological innovation, globalisation, and sustainability.
Now in its fifth year, the China Schools Awards — organised by the British Chamber of Commerce in China, BritCham South China, and BritCham Southwest China — has established itself as a key platform for internationally oriented K–12 education in China. This year marked an exciting milestone, with schools and education organisations from around 10 provinces and more than 14 cities represented, reflecting a record level of participation and diversity.

Beyond Academics: Aligning K–12 Education with the Evolving Employability Landscape
Ahead of the awards ceremony, education professionals took part in the Forum, designed for headteachers, senior leadership teams, and education practitioners. Through panel discussions and shared best practice, participants explored how education can move beyond traditional academic outcomes to develop the skills, mindsets, and real-world competencies students need to thrive in further education and future careers.

Awards Gala Dinner
The evening concluded with the China Schools Awards 2026 Gala Dinner, where this year’s 11 award winners were officially announced and celebrated. Following a record number of applications, the judging panel shortlisted 32 finalists, highlighting outstanding contributions to innovation and excellence across the sector.
Congratulations to all finalists and winners, and thank you to everyone who joined us in Chongqing to celebrate the achievements of the international education community.
