Your Role:
You will be responsible for Business Development and Marketing in China reporting directly to the Head of China dotted line to the CEO of Otus and will be responsible for leading and overseeing a team of sales and marketing to generate and qualify leads, support the sales pipeline, and drive market expansion.
Your Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of authentic positivity and open communication
- Collaborate with the Head of China on annual goals and KPIs
- Create and implement a territory sales strategy
- Collaborate with Marketing and DevOps leaders on on product updates and feature requests
- Incorporate continuous improvement and learning initiatives, including call coaching, team presentations, role-play, etc.
- Motivate team members through creative incentives like team prospecting challenges,, think-outside-the-box approach, and a super “can-do” attitude
- Leading and driving business development efforts to identify and capitalize on new opportunities
- Provide regular reporting on team performance, pipeline, conversion of opportunities, and playbook effectiveness
- Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity to help the organization break into schools and districts in China
- Oversee marketing activities within the country
Requirements:
- Experience in SaaS and or edtech companies
- Closing experience is preferred
- You have hired, trained, and managed sales development teams of 5+ employees
- You are enthusiastic, energetic, and reinforce Otus values in your professional interactions
- Excellent verbal and written communicator
- Prior teaching and or school admin experience
- A strong professional network of international schools and bilingual schools
- Knowledge of the educational system in China
- English and Chinese proficiency
Compensation & Benefits:
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry. Salary is just one part of our total compensation package that includes equity, perks & benefits, and development opportunities at Otus. Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity relative to other Otus employees. It is our expectation that the majority of candidates who are offered roles at Otus will land well within our salary ranges based on these factors.
Salary Range 70,000 – 100,000 USD
