Position summary

–         IM doctors’ main role is to assess, diagnosis and treat a wide range of conditions with appropriate management and follow-up plans

–         IM doctors need to build up a strong patient base by forming and maintaining professional relationships with patients with chronic conditions

–         IM doctors will act as health coordinators with other departments in the hospital ensuring that patients get continuity of care

Essential Duties

–         Offer a comprehensive, reasonable, personalized and effective clinical service to the patients

–         Accomplish clinical work according to physician’s privileges in the outpatient setting

–         Remain up to date with medical advance through ongoing self-enhancement

–         Follow clinical guidelines and evidence-based medicine

–         Promote the hospital outside the facility

–         Skills required:

–         Excellent teamwork

–         Effective logical reasoning and critical thinking skill

–         Excellent communication skills

–         Good knowledge of writing medical records

–         Good understanding of patients’ rights including confidentiality

–         Other duties.

–         Perform health checks as required

–         Follow hospital policies

–         Refer patients appropriately for specialist opinions (inside and outside the hospital)

–         Contribute to the training of hospital staff related to one’s own clinical expertise

–         Abide by the laws and industry norms to complete medical work;

–         Attend hospital-wide and departmental meetings

–         Complete the new staff orientation as soon as possible

–         Accomplish department quality improvement projects

–         Contribute to the creation of clinical guidelines

–         Complete any other required departmental training

–         Attend clinical sessions as set out in the roster

Education： Full Medical Degree with specialist training in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine

Working Experiences： Minimum 5 years of clinical experience

Language： Good oral and written English

Certificate： Physician license and/ or certificate
