About us
Venture Education is a Beijing-based consultancy that empowers UK education in China through research, projects and consultancy. Our team is a mixture of former teachers, university lecturers, education professionals, research analysts and project leaders from the UK and China. Over the past year, our clients have included UCAS, the British Council, the UK government, Dulwich International, Visa and the British Chamber of Commerce.
Internship positions
- Project Coordinator Internship
We are looking for someone organised, hard-working, adaptive and creative who is excited about the possibility of working on some large projects with partner organisations in the UK.
The work you engage in will include:
- Developing material for social media
- Supporting with the organisation of large education events
- Promoting partner products
- Research for a large commercial report
We need an intern who can fulfill the most basic tenet of enterprise education: you need to be able to make creative ideas happen.
We need:
- Proven interest in China; especially the development of education
- An enterprising personality with a proven track record of executing quality
- Strong writing abilities in English; Chinese-language ability an advantage
- Creative approaches to research; an interest in both the macro and trivial
- Attention to detail; capable of producing both quality and quantity
- Excellent organisation, analytical and communications skills

Internship details
- Salary: 150 RMB/day
- Location: Dongdaqiao
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm
- At least three months commitment

- Research Analyst Internship
We are looking for an organised, hard-working, adaptive, and creative intern to join our consultancy team. You will be involved with exciting projects for big clients in both China and the UK; learning along the way about every aspect of education consultancy in China. This may include producing research reports, carrying out policy, news and market analysis, or developing innovative approaches to business development.
Your responsibilities
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work in collaboration with the team to conduct high-quality primary research, including qualitative as well as quantitative analysis and insights
- Produce policy and consultancy reports that contribute and drive contemporary debates in the Chinese education sector
- Collect and synthesise existing data from multiple sources to effectively communicate key findings to internal and external stakeholders
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to read, digest and summarise large amounts of Chinese policy updates and news reports
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when writing, proofreading and copy-editing
- Passion for reading and writing research, policy and reports
- Ability to analyse data and information, identify trends and connections and present findings clearly and accurately through graphics and writing
- Experience in China and/or UK education sector preferred
