Business Growth & Commercial Manager
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work closely with the membership team to develop British Chamber’s membership, including growth strategies, identify and recruit new member businesses – through business networking, background research, and promotion of BCCC at meetings and events.
- Identify and lead on new strategic business opportunities, projects and campaigns that bring value to members and the British business community
- Maintain and build the Chamber’s various Knowledge Hubs
- Explore sponsorship and partnership opportunities with members and stakeholders within the UK business community
- Conduct market research on potential engagement with British businesses in China
- Prepare regular management reports detailing new business, repeat business and opportunities to promote services in new markets
- Support other areas of the Chamber, including advocacy initiatives and regular events
What do we need from you?
Essential skills:
- Native level English, Chinese is desired but not a must
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong work ethic with an entrepreneurial, creative and resilient mindset
- Ability to thrive under a fast-paced work environment and a small team
- Strong team player
- 3-4 years of experience in driving business development and growth results
- Experience working to and exceeding targets
Desirable extra:
- Experience and confidence in working with very senior stakeholders
- Good understanding of UK-China relations
- Experience working to and exceeding targets
