Steven Lynch, Managing Director of the British Chamber of Commerce in China
“Belt and Road, China 2025 and President Xi’s poverty alleviation policy all mean that companies that wish to remain welcome in China have to play their part contributing to society. It’s not just a political issue, it’s an economic imperative. Companies that focus on ESG – Environment Social and Governance issues are better placed to attract long term investment. If you want to attract global talent companies have to address global issues such as climate change and wealth inequality. Enter the 2019 China Social Impact Awards to show us how your company contributes to tomorrow’s issues today.”
