Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Deliver the Music learning programmes according to the needs of students (group and individual) in line with the YCIS International Curriculum, IGCSE and IB Diploma as appropriate.
• Develop/refine music curriculum documentation and assessment tasks in line with the YCIS International Curriculum, IGCSE and IB Diploma as appropriate.
• Support, motivate and advise other teachers, and work alongside them in the integration of music within the Learning Community model as appropriate.
• Compile and work within the budget allocated to Music, and prioritise resource needs appropriately.
• Maintain the inventory to meet the needs of the Music curriculum
• Support the co-curricular music programme through involvement Co-Curricular Activities (CCA), as required.
• Prepare students for key performances.
• Coordinate within the Performing Arts team, the development of a cohesive and effective long-term plan in Music.
Job Requirements:
General Requirements:
– Native English speaker
– Bachelor’s Degree with major in Music plus teaching certificate or license
– At least 2 years relevant full-time teaching experience as a qualified teacher
– IB DP experience or qualification is preferable
– Have passion in teaching students
– Be good team players
– Are sensitive and responsive to the needs of students
– Demonstrate commitment in teamwork
– Are good role models to students and conduct themselves professional
