Parents send their children to our school to work with English teachers from around the world. In addition to teaching reading, writing, listening and speaking language skills, you’ll also expose students to different cultures and traditions to prepare them for studying abroad in the future.
Key responsibilities
– Instruction
- Communicate expectations for learning with students and families
- Make learning experiences relevant and engaging for students
- Use questioning and discussion to lead rigorous learning
- Regularly assess student mastery, share feedback with students and families, and use data to inform instruction
- Establish a strong culture for learning
– Planning and Preparation
- Work with teaching team to plan and revise engaging units and lessons based on the Canadian New Brunswick Learning Outcomes (Learning Standards) and skills required for the IELTS and TOEFL exams
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement interventions to support diverse student learning needs
– Professional Responsibilities
- Participate in professional community, including working with a team of teachers, participating in and leading regular professional development
- Maintain accurate records of student progress in learning and use that data to inform planning and instruction
- Communicate with families about student progress

- Our official workday is 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday.
- Teachers each have about 20 classes/week, 40 min. each. (Contractually, teachers may be required to teach up to 30 classes/week, each 40 min.)
