Schoolata is a UK startup with a diverse team from around the world. We are a dynamic and agile team of entrepreneurs and education industry specialists. Schoolata has developed an AI-driven platform for the education sector and is about to expand to 40 countries with the fastest growing markets that represent 65% of the world’s population.
Data is the central driver of our platform and company. We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Manager to oversee and manage the database, operations, and output that inform the usability and growth of our product.
Key Responsibilities:
Data management
- Collaborate with technical lead to support and improve processes from data scraping to finalising output in a usable form
- Manage central database, keeping track of its changes and development, and finding best ways to utilise a large dataset effectively
- Ensure all data output is at its highest quality in terms of accuracy and availability
- Support research lead in producing data-driven analysis for reports and presentations
Platform development
- Work with other team members in platform development, including strategic thinking and implementation of features
- Support internal and external testing of the platform and communicate with other team members on feedback
- Work closely with research and technical lead in developing, shipping, and debugging of features across the platform
What are we looking for?
- Keen attention to detail
- Patience when working with large dataset
- Basic knowledge of data science (e.g., data cleaning, data visualisation etc.)
- Experience with spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Numbers etc.)
- Basic knowledge of programming is desired but not required
- Efficiency and adaptability
- Team player
- Creative problem solver
What is a bonus?
- Graphic design skills
- A second (or third) language in Asia, the Middle East or Africa
- Experience living overseas and a deep respect for other cultures
Additional details
- Full-time, 5 days a week
