Membership Manager

 

Objectives of this Role

 

  • Establish relationships with potential new member businesses and recruit new members.
  • Strengthen and maintain relationships with existing members through regular engagement and invitation to BritCham activities.
  • Explore partnership opportunities, develop strategic links that will add value to existing members.
  • Expand and strengthen brand awareness around the work of the British Chamber.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead on the British Chamber’s membership development, develop growth strategies, identify and recruit new member businesses – through business networking, background research, and promotion of BCCC at meetings and events.
  • Manage and administer membership record on CRM platform on a daily basis
  • Respond to general queries from member companies and from potential members, and provide communication links to the business community.
  • Drive members catch-up and engagement on a regular basis
  • Support the promotion of Chamber events, sponsorship opportunities, etc. to members.
  • Provide support to the Chamber’s Events and Policy Teams in promoting member companies and driving advocacy initiatives forward.
  • Conduct market research on potential engagement with British businesses in China
  • Analyse membership data and present findings and recommendations

 

What do we need from you?

Essential skills:

  • Strong language skills – fluent in English and Mandarin
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong work ethic with an entrepreneurial and resilient mindset
  • Ability to thrive under a fast-paced work environment
  • 3-4 years of experience in driving business development and sales results
  • Experience working to and exceeding targets

 

 

 

Desirable extra:

  • Experience and confidence in working with very senior stakeholders
  • Good understanding of UK-China relations
  • Experience working to and exceeding targets
